Here’s the pictures of inside my Williams Robotron 2084 cabinet.  Hope it helps anyone trying to get any old Williams game up and running.  They are classics and need to be preserved.  There’s nothing like playing a full size Robotron for 23 hours straight!

Incidentally my high score on Robotron from back in my college days is about 30 million or so.  It did take about 23 hours - it went straight through breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I had enough extra guys to take bathroom breaks while a friend made sure no one grabbed the machine while I was away.  All that for 25 cents!  :-)

The score wraps at 10,000,000 and the wave counter goes to 256 waves before bumping up a difficulty level and wrapping to zero.  Ah, 8-bit computing!  I still can’t believe they got this much performance out of a 1 MHz 6809 and a few 4-bit bit-blit chips....amazing.  Modern game designers should be ashamed at what little they do with the super computers at their disposal!
